Description
Hello, my name is Charlotte. I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, having trained with Manchester City Council in 2015. I offer flexible childcare in a safe and engaging, homely learning environment. A qualified teacher by profession, I love caring for and working with children. I offer fun and educational experiences which help to shape children’s early development and equip them with essential skills for school and beyond.
I am located in Burnage, Manchester and provide full and part time childcare Monday to Friday.
I understand the demand of work on busy parents and offer tailored care to work around you and the needs of your family. I offer all-year-round care along with school holiday and before and after school care.
I will take and collect children to and from Green End Primary School and St. Bernard's RC Primary School, provide after school activities as well as home cooked, nutritiously balanced meals. I am qualified to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (from birth to 5 years) and also have current training in safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene.
Activities and Experiences . . .
I provide an enabling environment with exciting opportunities and experiences for children to enhance their learning and development through play. Your child will learn effectively through Playing and Exploring, Active Learning and Creating and Thinking Critically, through involvement in activities covering the 7 areas of Learning and Development within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Creative play involves children initiating their own learning through exploring, discovering their interests, developing their skills and making decisions. The creative activities which your child can experience in my setting include:
Art, design and crafts from drawing and painting to collage and textiles
Music, singing and dance
Creative storytelling, reading, dressing up and role play
Cooking and baking
Puzzles and problem solving
Messy play with playdough, water, sand, mud, jelly and more
Heuristic play with natural and ‘found objects’
Photography and Information & Communications Technology
Simple words are displayed in French so children gain an enjoyable introduction to another language.
Outdoor play . . .
Outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine. Your child can enjoy playing in our garden whether it be burring treasure in the sandpit, feeding the birds in our nature zone, cooking up a treat in the mud kitchen, reading in a tent, den building or making music ion the the sound wall. Children can learn about growing food by planting and growing herbs and vegetables which they can harvest, cook and eat! We have outdoor play equipment available and physical games and sports for your child to try. We regularly visit local parks to embark on nature trails, wildlife spotting and to stretch little legs.
