Description
A very pretty open sailing boat named Silent Annie, built in 2012 in clinker marine ply and epoxy composite, based on a design by Selway Fisher. Length 4.75 m, beam 1.8 m. Wt. approx. 400kg. Trailer by Extreme Marine. The motor is a 4 hp Mercury mounted inboard. Side seating contains 4 main lockers, one of which holds the battery which is used to power the auto bilge pump, lighting and chart plotter (optional extra) and is trickle charged by a solar panel in the foredeck. The foredeck also has a locker for the anchor and warps, whilst two further lockers lie on either side of the motor to hold the canopy, sails, etc. A further large locker lies beneath the foredeck. The centreplate weighs approx. 50 kg. and allows 55 cm either side for sleeping areas when the canopy is erected allowing about 4 ft. headroom. There is an additional folding seat by the tiller and another for when the canopy is erected. The gaff rig can be handled single handed and the boat has been cruised extensively on the West coast of Scotland. A Seago inflatable is included in the price.
The boat is presently by Loch Feochan (about 5 miles south of Oban at Ardoran Marine) and may be viewed by arrangement.
